Friends at Quinta do Pinheiro keep in white-washed cottages inside touching distance of a swimming pool created from the farm’s water tank. Positioned on the grounds of a still-working Nineteenth-century agricultural property, the retreat is about inside Parque Pure da Ria Formosa, a protected reserve of seashores, dunes, and salt flats in Portugal’s Algarve.
The property belongs to a Dutch entrepreneurial couple who’ve grow to be farmers in Portugal—and occur to have nice style. Along with sustaining the avocado orchard and reestablishing the quinta’s winery, they employed esteemed Lisbon agency Frederico Valsassina Arquitectos to show the prevailing farmhouse and surrounding constructions into two- and three-bedroom visitor cottages. The design, beginning with the red-painted doorways and window frames, attracts from the traditions and supplies of the area. Be a part of us for a tour of two of the homes.
