Choose opinions $1.5B Anthropic settlement proposal with authors

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A federal choose has begun reviewing a landmark class-action settlement settlement between the synthetic intelligence firm Anthropic and e-book authors who say the corporate took pirated copies of their works to coach its chatbot.

The corporate has agreed to pay authors and publishers $1.5 billion, amounting to about $3,000 for every of an estimated 500,000 books lined by the settlement.
